Yesterday and today have been chalk full of Christmas fun! I kind of felt like super mom yesterday. I hauled both kiddos to the doctor’s office solo. I carried Luke in his carrier and Mary on my hip. Got home, ate lunch, put the kids to bed for a nap, cleaned the house, started a crock-pot dinner, visited with my sister-in-law and then made a gingerbread Christmas tree with Mary (all this without any melt downs from the kids or myself!) After eating dinner we got both kids dressed and off to Mary’s Christmas program for her day care. It was pretty cute. Her class shook bells to none other than “Jingle Bells.”
This morning we went to a Breakfast with Santa. One lady said Luke was too beautiful to be a boy! Mary ate her weight in pancakes and sort of did a craft project. Then we headed to the Boardwalk for a little Christmas shopping trip. Both kids were wonderful, the weather was fantastic! After leaving one of the stores the greeter looked at Mary and said, “Have a good day little buddy.” After taking a second look at her PINK shirt he corrected it from buddy to lady. I think Mary looks like a girl but it’s amazing how many people as us how old HE is…even when she’s decked out in pink!!!
During snack time today, little Luke was going to town on his cracker! The fact that he is holding his food and able to take bites and eat something like a cracker is HUGE in his development.
Today was a great day! I loved spending it with my family!
